A grade that holds, on the line you already hold.
OralIQ is bought by the online dean or academic affairs, as prepaid credits on the proctoring and detection line. You pay only for proposals your instructors did not reject.
The budget line
Your campus already pays for exam proctoring and AI-writing detection, and none of that line asks a student one question about an essay.
OralIQ is an added line on the same budget, never a swap. Keep the exam line; OralIQ checks understanding of the authored work the exams do not cover.
Paper, essay or report $4 High-stakes paper or code project $10 Group project, a member $6 Capstone or thesis defense $20 The structure you inherited
The course was built to grade the page, and the only check its faculty trust is a meeting the online course was never built to hold.
Nineteen campuses and systems have written into policy that the detector's score is not evidence, and the money stayed. Twenty-two name what replaces it: the student explaining their own work.
Your quote, from your own Canvas
Your annual quote is built from your prior year's assignment mix in Canvas: so many papers, so many code projects, so many routine items, at the card's rates.
The type of each check is read from what Canvas already knows about the assignment and confirmed by the instructor, never chosen by the buyer.
Who signs
Neither reaches the board. Department orders sign in any month; college orders concentrate on the July fiscal year.
Prepaid credits
Blocks of $10,000, $25,000 or $50,000, bought any month and topped up any month. The sizes are purchasing thresholds, not campus sizes. Unused credits roll.
A twelve-month agreement is offered where your procurement prefers that paper, and a department can pay per use on a monthly invoice.
You pay only for proposals nobody rejected
Every analysis is billable unless the instructor rejects it and writes a short reason. That check is free, and the reason improves the product.
A high reject rate in one course triggers a conversation, never a block.
The purchase order carries a not-to-exceed, the face value of the credits you bought. There is no per-student cap.
What you can show a committee
On every checked submission, a record: transcript, recording, the rubric mapping and the instructor's signature, kept one year with a legal hold on any request.
At the end of each term, a report: checks per enrolled student, proposals accepted with the share accepted unread, and completion against the prior term.
Every line is a count you can check against your invoice. The record never says who wrote the work: what the student said, what the instructor signed.
